Sensactive Technology at the 2nd Artificial Intelligence Congress: AI at the service of ecological transition

Exploring how artificial intelligence can transform water and energy management to drive global sustainability.

Today, 21 November 2024, we participated in the Second Artificial Intelligence Congress, held in Granada. This event, focused on how AI drives ecological transition, brought together leaders, experts and professionals to discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on key sectors such as water management, energy and sustainability.

Our CEO and CSO, Iván Iglesias Baena, took part in the round table discussion ‘How AI drives ecological transition’, accompanied by leading experts:

  • Rubén Sánchez Iruela, Head of Data & AI – Cuerva Energía, who shared his perspectives on optimising energy management through AI.
  • José García Franquelo, Head of Innovation – Isotrol, who explored advances in industrial innovation through artificial intelligence tools.
  • Moderator: Fátima Carmona Sánchez, Director of R&D and Projects – onTech Innovation, who brought a cross-cutting approach to the discussion.

During the panel, the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence as a tool for prediction and the generation of advanced solutions to optimise resources and facilitate ecological transition were explored. It was an enriching space that highlighted the role of AI in building a more sustainable future.

The role of AI in water management

AI drives ecological transition in water management by acting as a layer of predictive and adaptive analysis that complements existing technologies. During the round table, participants discussed how artificial intelligence can transform the way we manage water resources, highlighting its ability to:

  • Generate predictive models that anticipate changes in water quality, such as the appearance of microbiological contaminants or variations in critical parameters, enabling more efficient and proactive planning.
  • Optimise the analysis of data collected in real time to customise treatment processes according to the specific needs of each environment, increasing operational efficiency.
  • Reduce operational and environmental risks, helping companies detect patterns or anomalies that could compromise the sustainability of resources and processes.

At Sensactive Technology, we are working to integrate these capabilities into our Water biosense® technology, with the aim of strengthening its impact on sustainable water management and compliance with the most demanding standards in the sector.

A multidisciplinary approach to sustainability

The round table also highlighted how artificial intelligence can connect diverse sectors, such as energy, water technology and industrial innovation, to address common challenges. This collaboration between experts from different disciplines demonstrates that the green transition is not only a shared responsibility, but also an opportunity to develop comprehensive and disruptive solutions.

The exchange of ideas during this event reflected how AI can be a driver of change for sustainability, not only by improving individual processes, but also by fostering a more global and collaborative vision.

Commitment to the future

We would like to express our gratitude to the conference organisers, speakers and all attendees for fostering a space for constructive dialogue. At Sensactive Technology, we remain committed to developing advanced technological solutions that respond to the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Our participation in this conference reinforces our mission to integrate innovation and sustainability, ensuring that every step towards the future is responsible and positive for society and the environment.
